Jane Crute Turner, 82, widow of Walter Vernon Turner, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Universal Healthcare in Oxford, NC.

Born in Halifax County, VA., on November 28, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Aubry B. Crute and Pearl Beal Crute.

Ms. Turner is survived by two daughters, Cindy R. Milton (Larry) of Oxford, NC and Kim T. Vick of Zebulon, NC; two sisters, Nannie C. Weaver of South Boston, VA. and Alice C. Glass, of Walstonburg, NC; one brother, C. Samuel “Sammy” Crute, of Hurdle Mills, NC, three granddaughters, two grandsons, five great grandsons and one great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles “Charlie” D. Crute and Beverly “BB” B. Crute, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in the Eakes Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Randy Pittman. Burial will be in Oak Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive family and friends at Eakes Funeral Home prior to the funeral service from 12:30 – 1:45 PM on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 and at other times at the home of Cindy R. Milton, 2786 Hallie Burnette Road. Oxford, NC.
